Is there a general breakdown of the levels and how it corresponds to the Fargo Rate number? For example, 800+ would (in my mind) equate to "elite pro". Maybe 770-799 is the next level below?

Hope fully Mike Page can answer this as I am interested as well. Unofficially, I have heard that 800 and above is elite pro level, 740 - 800 is pro level, and 700 - 740 is top regional player. I think below the 700 level it starts to break down into the A, B, and C categories and it gets a bit murky. Real interested to get clarification.

Just curious- why is Jundel Mazon still ranked so highly in top 20? This monster has been pretty quiet on international scene since winning the Guinness World Series almost a decade ago. He was finalist in All Japan last year but other than has not figured much in other international tourneys.:smile:

BTW, All Japan and Japan Open are different tourneys. All Japan is 10b and more prestigious than Japan Open which is 9 ball. Do you have them both or just the All Japan? :smile:

As you said he lost to Chua in the finals last month in Japan. And he beat Kevin Cheng, Yu Lung Chang, and Ko Ping Chung to get there...

And a year ago at the Kuwait Open, he played Feijen, Jung Lin Chang, Mark Gray, and Ko Pin Yi in the elimination stage with an overall winning record of 39 wins 38 losses

And two years ago he came over for the US Open getting deep (9 matches) and played will in Gotham city event (highlight 40 to 19 wins over Shaw, Biado, Strickland and Ruiz) and an Action Pool Tour event while he was here.

We recommend against these classifications, particularly A, B, C and the like. Too much regional variation and miscommunication. I think we should move toward just using the numbers
