you jinx'ed em. lol. j/k jam. how are you?

I've been better, "Monkey Boy"! (<----referring to your avatar! ) :p

That soft break strategy did suck a big weenie at this year's WPC. Peach wasn't the only one who utilized it.

In fact, when Bustie was playing Alex Pagulayan, the ultimate score would have been quite different if the soft break strategy was not allowed. :o

Bustamante is still one of my all-time favorite players, and I will always root for him, UNLESS he's playing my boyfriend! ;)

So you are not a real fan :p

LOL! :D Always a fan of Bustie! :)

I knew he was first class the very first time I got a chance to sit down and talk with him. I want Francisco to win the WPC. Though he has a many championship titles under his name, he deserves the WPC title as well. I hope it happens. Time will tell! :)

was I discrediting Daryl for mentioning his soft break? read my pretext. and why so sensitive about it? are you a brit by any chance? :D

 I'am not british:D If I was, I hope that I can write and speak english much better LOL... I finally take it for a compliment

I am a b(r)it sensitive cause I read here a lot of bad (yes bad, sometimes) comments about his win and find these not objective (it was a fluke... etc.). Like you said he deserves his win. My post use some of your arguments to develop my opinion but was more oriented on other posts I read here since his win.

Sorry if I have "hurt" you ;)

Like i said : Peace:)

EDIT : For the second part of your, I agree with you

all is good. been out for awhile. glad to be back here and play pool as well, after 2 months of absence. dang, I missed pool so much that I was running out.

I had the chance to speak with Peach at the world famous Splash Bar on more than one... occassion. He's a cool guy and very personable. I spoke with him about him winning the WPC and he was very humble about the entire experience. He also mentioned that since winning the WPC that he doesn't really feel like a world champion.

If you ever get a chance... ask him to share his story about the dog drinking gasoline! It's one of the most fantastic stories I've ever heard.

I couldn't find the odds of him winning the worlds, but it must have been really high like 100:1 or something

It was 100:1...alot of people here in Uk put money on him...i had a pound on him a mate of mine had a five pound on him and i was told by a friend Daryl put 100 on himself.

I can't speak english very well, so I will elaborate with the modest vocabulary I have :)

Overrated? Who said that he was a pool god or a legend? All I know is that he is a great pool player, a current world champion. He won his tittle with class, his strong safety play and mental game have really impressed me. He has got nothing to prove and I will not be surprised if he wins other major tournaments.

For my CV... I'm just a modest pool player who can put some racks together. I play pool since 18 years ago and follow with passion what is going on in the pool World... that's all;)

No polemic...

I agree 100%

Funny....didn't Thorsten have the same odds when he won it in 2003???

I know it was a 100 or more.....so I guess "flukes" happen all the time in the WPC:rolleyes:

No matter what people think about Daryl, he is a WORLD 9-BALL CHAMPION, and he won the largest World Championship ever organized, based by countries registered. Not only that, but he won it IN the Philippines, against a Filipino!!!

Daryl is one of the top players in Europe, and he can play both 9-ball, 8-ball and 14-1 at a very high level.

Will he win another major title? Time will show...

AMEN - You win in the Philippines you must be doing something right!!
