Not to rub it in for the people who missed it, but the two matches I watched today were freakin awesome. Both matches went 9-9 and there were some really good safety battles. The pressure was really getting to carter and hawkins you could see it in their faces.

Can't wait for the later rounds.

Hey Ernst any idea when Ronnie is set to play? The post game interview should be interesting.:D

i cant figure it out, i set up a UK proxy server and i thought I had the nuts, I dont :( I'm gonna try again later tonight any advice would be sincerly appericated, Eric

After much messing around I finally got into BBC. First time in months.
Apparently the problem getting access is with the proxy server, either unavailable or heavy traffic.
Not running smoothly, perhaps I'll try a lower definition feed next time.

I use Mozila/Foxfire and had to download version 11 of Windows Media for Foxfire.

When I go to the sight, they still have the matches from 5:00 AM and 8:30 AM. I have tried reloading but the same page comes up. Am I doing something wrong? I was unable to watch the 10:00, I'm hoping to watch the 14:30 match. Help!

make sure you're proxy is in the UK and the BBC sees that.

Once you've got that, you should be golden. It usually does take a few tries before the stream kicks on. Go Steve Davis!

my proxy is 35kms west of London. Eurosport likes it and didnt have a problem, eurosport didnt give me the "Not avaliable in your country" thing, so yeah i'm in the UK, well my server is, but I cant get any signal or audio. I planned on this for along time. i have my IT guy on in now perhaps he can he can help. :(

If it's any consolation, I'm sick of watching frame by frame live coverage and the later extended highlights on BBC 2 on my HD television, never mind the catch up on demand tv option that I can pause/rewind/ at will on my digibox any time I like. Those two dust mites fighting over that particle of talc on the yellow ball is really detracting from the action, and that lady at the back has an annoying hair protruding from her nose. It's a good job I like rubbing it in or I don't think I'd bother watching.

Could anyone post a proxy for the bbc? I have tried 3 different addresses with no luck. Eurosport is good but has no commentary.

i logged on to BBC using a UK proxy server and they had my little plan figured out, no joy-bastards!!!!

yeah ryan day has defeated john higgins so there is only play on the one table now - and stephen maguire is giving neil robertson a lesson to say the least atm!

at seven o clock later my man mark williams will take on ronnie, should be a great match!

EDIT: not sure of the time difference so lets just say roughly a couple of hours away from this post!

Yep, 6 nil up for Stephen, great start.

Who is your pick to win the whole thing? Mark Williams?

My pick Ken Doherty fell at the first hurdle (and is now out of the top 16 for the first time in 15 years) but he'll be back :)

yep, that's the man!

could easily be maguire as well, he is definitely the form man, he seems unstoppable at the moment.

ryan day is another one to watch as well, fabulous player.

although it goes without saying all of them left in the tournament are capable of winning, so it's just down to who's feeling it on the day!

I agree, that 70 odd that Maguire just had working off the pink mostly was very very good.

the pockets this year are tight as hell, too tight, players are shying away from long shots big time, tons of balls are rattling the jaws

the rails are acting like they have springs, very lively, Higgins was quite upset with that

Just got done watching my first live session of the world's in 11 years. This is awesome!! My wife is going to hate me aver the next week or so!
