World Cup of Pool 2012 started

This is nonsense. When the mosconi cup aired they just used the skysport broadcast for the live stream. They could have done the same.

are you aware of the contract made between Solar and Matchroom? I am not....therefore I am speculating....and say so in my post.

Technically anything is possible...they could have rented space on a satellite-feed and make it available everywhere....they could have worked with Google to make a live feed....they could have made a contract with a local provider to stream it. The bottomline is that they did not. Now you can speculate all you want on why this might be. I made my guess in regards to exclusive contracts with Solar because it sounds plausible to me. Nothing in my post is saying that it is technically not possible, of course it is....but they did not...so there must be a reason for it....most likely is money...

So you can throw all your toys out of the cot if you want but it won't change anything. I do not like it any more than you do (especially now that I missed my Finnish team beating some relative unknowns from Germany ...Souquet-Hohmann I believe ;))...but I am grateful for the fact that there are at least companies out there that are willing to set these events up to start with. Without them we would have nothing to stream even.

cheers,
Kimmo

Nah, ofcourse not :) It is just very frustrating when there is a great torunament like this (with all the great players) and it is impossible to watch it! Especially when I would gladly pay money for it.

It's just a bummer, the internet stream of the mosconi cup was great.

Matchroompool.com says that highlights from the tournament will appear on Sky Sports (UK) and Sport1 (Germany), but I cannot find anything in their respective tv schedules.

there ya go...

latest: USA 8-4 Austria; China 8-1 Spain

I have seen Liu Hai Tao play in person in a 9ball tournament in Hanoi, Vietnam, it was a tourney on 9 foot 4.13" table. He was champion and really unbeatable, he rarely missed when the went offense, his safety was also very top class.
