US Streamers take note:

I love the fact that ESPN has a replay feature. I get to consume the stream when I want too and I don't need to miss any of the stream. Good going!!

What web address do you go to see it live at 1pm ESt today?

Funny their home page has main sports then a age for other sports and no pool! Then you search pool and get a football player named poole and world cup of pool (soccer) from a few months ago. Not even a blip on the radar sadly.

I do see some I can replay though from yesterday team Germany looks good (Hohman and Souquet).

I've noticed the same thing. I do like Ted Lerner though. He knows he doesn't know the game that well and sticks to what he does know. He understands the emotions of the players and the gravity of the situation. The English guy Nick ? doesn't have a clue for the most part. He openly roots for England and his comments are off target most of the time. He is just talking to fill space imo.

OMG! Yes the english guy.....gets on my last nerve....and i thought Mitch Lawrence was aggravating, he gives Mitch the rainbow. Talking about John Morra at the DARBY City classic (lmfao) about Rocky 4 and how Shane was born in Jackson hole...and thats where they filmed rockys training scenes....wish Earl would throat punch him.

And i thought that the commentators for Patriots games on the radio in Boston were bad.......

Spot On about Ted Lerner. He isn't strong with on table technical comments but he has pretty good knowledge of pool players and pool development round the world like you do.
He correctly predicted that Qatar will upset Taiwan
That Nick Halling is clueless, made number of newbie comments,is partisan and talks down some teams. Read that he does mostly football commentating , he should just stick to his day job

What a great event high quality all the way
great production great stream great players
good prize money good format for TV,
they move the matches right along no waiting
between matches shot clock keeps each match
going with a good pace and the short races and
rules are good for close matches matchroom got it right imo

Just fantabulous world class production by Matchroom
Though I miss that booming MC, John McDonald
:D

I am reluctant to criticize commentators including these guys. Like you, I enjoy listening to Ted Lerner speak but I noticed that his 9 ball acumen has been weighed and found wanting.

Some of the commentators at The World Cup of Pool regularly discuss shots that the players will most likely take and are wrong far too often in my opinion.

That being said, I think Ted Lerner is one of the finest pool commentators around. I can overlook his getting the 9 ball shot wrong occasionally (God knows I've gotten a shot wrong at least once or twice) because I like the manner in which he speaks and what he speaks about.

Having three or four champions in my town, watching them play each other, watching them play others from out of town, competing with them on a regular basis, well that's helped my 9 ball patterns quite a bit.

I listened to these commentators far more than I have listened to any other commentators for this long of a stretch and have thoroughly enjoyed Matchroom Sport's World Cup of Pool as well as any event I have that was live streamed.

In the future, when I do commentary you will most likely hear some of my "purrfect" phonetics changing here and there.

I agree 100%, this is Class A when it comes to production!! Great camera work and the lighting and set up is 1st rate killer!! I don't think they could do any better with their delivery...
