World Cup of Pool

Italy impressively turns Alcaide's miss of the five in the side into two racks so far. The Italians are putting on quite a show and deservedly lead 4-2.

Oh oh Alcade just missed similar side pocket in rack 9 and scratched, Looks like gave over for Spain. Rack 9 was Spain best chance to draw level and upset. Now Italy on hill 6-4

Surprised they booked Philippines in the afternoon session. Majority of the fans watching in the stands have been Filipino fans.

finland gettin serious. 3-2

seems mika is playing with the new wx900 shaft from mezz (short ferrule) and he likes it ;)

oh oh Finland on verge of going out. Korea on hill of the hill 5- 4
So far no upset today and looks like this will be first upset today. Bottom seed Korea going to knock out top seed Finland much like Samsung knocking out Nokia in mobile phones

Korea on the hill 6-4. Playing clean simple pool. The table also seems to be breaking better in evening compared to afternoon

Great match

Edit: one of the best matches so far: 2 very strong playing teams, not many mistakes. loved it.

although i wonder that the wingball is going down so often with 9 on the spot

Still: GREAT MATCH

now england vs germany

Wed was day of upsets with 3 out of 6 matches were upsets. Yesterday was another shocking day with 3 whitewash matches 7-0
Don't think this many whitewashes has ever happened before in a top tourney . Though it has to be said that this is winners break format which is still shocking considering previous WCP had only 1 or 2 whitewashes over whole tourney

IMHO, the afternoon should go according to plan with higher seeded teams Russia,Phil and Taiwan going thru'
The evening matches should throw up some surprises like past 2 days with more upsets and whitewashes in evening matches.
I like underdog upsetting the favourites so I am predicting that at least one of USA, Holland or England A will be upsetted :)
