The devil got to Filler. He misses the 6 with score at 6-6
And he is 6th seeded player to lose in last 16 to preliminary round winner :grin-square:

Next up Sky v Gorst

I just watched the post match interview with Earl and Kaci. That's about as bad as I've seen him. That announcer is a saint compared to how I would have taken that in.

I didn’t like that interview, he seemed pretty depressed and the whole thing was more sad than classic Earl madness. I like kaci’s reaction though when earl said he wasn’t a great player.

Huge mistake on the 6 by Filler. Albin moves on.
After being giving a gift with a scratch on the break, and then executing an excellent shot to break out the 5-ball and get shape on the 4-ball, Filler's mistake was twofold - not coming out off the end rail far enough with the cue ball when pocketing the 4-ball, leaving more of an angle on the 5-ball than he wanted, then shooting the 5-ball shot too hard, which caused the 9-ball to come off the side rail back behind the cue ball - leaving him jacked up and making the 6-ball shot much harder than it had to be, but he still should have made it.

I feel like he should have stood up on that 5 and used his extension. The timer buzzed right before he fired...putted whatever. I can’t help but think he rushed it a little and went a bit hard. That had to be so tough to stomach loosing like that

svb has the lowest odds on all bookies it seems. kaci is 10/1 as wpm winner, alcaide 18/1.

matt the kiwi is 100/1

Look i know it's a short race where anything can happen

But the list of players where it is the worst i have ever ever seen them play on TV is pretty big.

So many schoolboy errors

It really seemed like the players just didn't care if they lost

Is Gibralter so grotty, everyone wanted to get home asap ?

Not everyone was making numerous mistakes. I didn't see all of the Filler match but through 8 games (score line 4-4) he had zero misses and his opponent had 1 or 2. Quality play, and the pockets aren't the buckets we've seen in some events in the last year.

Daylight savings time went into effect in Gibraltar today, so I think the matches start an hour earlier in the USA today.

SVB vs. Alcaide at 7 am EDT, about 20 minutes from now.
