In the finals Alex and Mika trade games until the score was 2 and 2 - racing to 8. Mika then gets a good break and makes some balls and runs out as well as one on the snap, soon the score is Mika 6 and Alex 2 - looks bad for Alex. Mika breaks for the hill, makes the 3 in the side but only one ball clears the side pockets and a foul is called. Alex gets to the table and wins 5 in a row to make it Alex 7 and Mika still at 6. Alex and Mika trade shots and Alex misses and and leaves Mika with a cut on the 3 in the corner where Mika has to get down table for shape but the CB rolls a bit too far and scratches. Alex runs out and wins to the cheering of the crowd.

Alex wins $20K and Mika $10K.

Congratulations Alex Pagulayan!

:)

Yay, Alex. Hip, hip, hooray! Go get 'em, Alex!

I am glad to see they are enforcing the soft break rules! Mika must be sick about not breaking harder. He could be $10,000 richer right about now if he had made a "legal" break.

Alex truly does have the heart of a lion. I am very happy to wake up this morning and see that Alex has roared loudly around the world once again! :)
