World Pool Series - Pockets

At home you can have whatever you want. At tournaments it should be enforced. By the tournament directors. The BCA provides the specs and measuring devices.

Look, I get what you are saying but these lack of standards are ruining the sport.

And Diamond, the premiere pool table supplier for tournaments has tried to do nust that, create specs that are the same on all their tables with playable pocket specs....and who do you think complains the loudest about the Pro Cut pockets diamond builds....the spectators, the people not even playing, complaining the pockets are to BIG, whereas in the past they've been 5" pockets on GCs and that was OK by everyone. So look around, those people not playing are the ones dictating this game!

Cobra. I believe table mechanic who mad these tables for event is John Kruglinski. Maybe you know him. I believe also he is more than qualified for that job. I was playing on first event of WPS. Tables were great. :)

If you listen to the video, they said they changed the pocket facings after the first event.

As a so called pool table mechanic, and the tables have been playing great...why then would you support some idea in you head of making the pockets play worse? I personally wouldn't want my name on a change like that.

I watched several balls get rejected from the corner pockets that were shot with perfect pocket speed that absolutely shoud have dropped. When a ball enters the jaws of a pocket, makes contact with the pocket facing about 3/4" into the pocket at a slow roll, then to see it kick across the pocket into the opposite pocmet facing like being batted back and forth like a pinball machine flippers was kicking the ball out of the hole....fast and deliberate....why would anyone want a pool table to play like that, for the good of the sport?
