World record for chalking

So we have things like most racks run, best TPA, great shots. But some basics of the game like tip maintenance and chalking just don't have a good rating or tracking system.

I present to you my new stat for chalking, and the current world record holder. I counted about 45-50 chalkings of the tip before the first shot, with two different cubes of chalks and both hands being used.

One of the funniest things I have seen in a match, especially when you look at the shot he took after all that work and then went on with more dual handed chalkings. If Mel Brooks did a movie about pool, this would be a scene in it.

Check out how many times Earl chalks his jump cue at the 1.17.30 mark. It may be over 50! Those commentators sound like they might know a thing or two about pool.

I ran around with Rafael a few times and I couldn't believe he would play with a tip that was worn all the way down to the ferrule, with only a little bump sticking up. I would tell him it's time to change the tip and he would tell me he likes it that way. He had to hit the ball pretty pure every time not to miscue. But he could do wonders with that almost no tip cue!

One last thing. I'm not sure how drugs got introduced to this thread but I will guarantee you that neither of these guys were on anything during this match. They played on the natch! Earl might smoke a little weed occasionally but I don't consider that a "drug." Certainly not like coke or H.

This is a real Chalking Professional!

I heard they locked this guy {cornflakes?} Raphael, Danny Medina and Earl, in a room full of psychiatrists for 24 hours and when they opened the door , the psychiatrists all came out talking like Elmer Fudd and pecking at imaginary bugs on the floor.
