World Record Pool - 14.1

Well this idea wasn't really intended to be a huge affair. It is intended to be a spark and hopefully inspire John and anyone else who wants to try.

I mean it would be really cool IF it did somehow catch on and in Boys and Girls clubs everywhere kids were trying to beat Mosocni's record but that's pretty pie in the sky given the current world we live in.
I agree John. Didn't mean to throw water on the idea.

Personally I'd like to see it happen.

I will video it

I have a Brunswick Anniversary 8-footer in my game room. I have made the offer to John Schmidt that if he wishes to come up the road to my place that he can stay in my guest house and run whenever he wishes with my video camera rolling. I will have the table re-railed and re-clothed before he arrives with the rails of his choosing.

I do not wish to make any money off of the DVD's we could create. I will point the money in whatever sensible direction that you folks suggest. (Goes to John, to charity, whatever, I don't care.)

The offer stands whenever John (or any other well-respected top pro who has an interest) decides to take me up on it. You have to be a big enough name so that I can call Brunswick and get them to handle the table dressing chores.

This is the same size table that Mosconi did his run on. We will have the table mechanic set the pockets to a respectable opening.

IF the record if broken, that video will be worth gold. A smart man would try to get in on that action somehow. The $3k up front would be nice but I have a feeling someone could sell copies (like JS did with his DVD) and make far more.

I doubt the audience is as big as you think for pool videos
