Worm Holes

Was turning some squares round and noticed a couple of worm holes in one stick of Pau Ferro. Is this normal? I have seen it in other woods, but never P/F, except this one piece. Man, this is stuff is toney, gonna make some fantastic playing cues.

Worm holes aren't a big deal. They fill easily and add an interesting, rustic aesthetic to the wood. I haven't seen it in pau ferro but then again it's not a wood I use a lot of. In any wood I have used somewhat extensively, I have seen worm holes on occasion. I suspect any wood is vulnerable.

I expect them from time to time in Brazilian Rosewood, Ebony, Maple and others. It struck me as unusual to see them in Pau Ferro.
