Worst Pro Match Meltdown You Seen

So I was looking for something way back and came across something that made me chuckle and leads me to ask: what’s the worst meltdown (or near meltdown) you’ve ever witnessed watching a pro match?

IOWs, have you seen “the wheels come off” a player at the pro level?

There's so many of Earl the Pearl that it's hard to choose, but him at Steinway Billiards NYC race to 17 vs Efren. He's missed a ball that most people would quit after missing, and he smacks his stick on the table and says loudly "God, you're a lucky guy, Efren". As if it was luck Earl missed...

Wasn’t there a player who started banking his head against the table? He split his head open. Started to bleed.

yea i don't think earl counts. "wheels come off" all the time, because they're not bolted on right

What’s your definition of a meltdown? Yes one miss especially at a key moment can cost someone a match but I don’t consider a miss a meltdown.

I’ve seen some pros loose their temper - is that your definition?
I’ve seen pros acting unsportsmanlike - is that your definition?
I’ve seen pros act like crybabies - is that your interpretation?
These all could be interpreted as meltdowns.

Is your definition - letting the pressure get to them? It happens all the time.

My definition of meltdown is a pro player repeatedly not being able to make the shots a high level player would ordinarily make with aplomb.

My 2 favorites are both by Mika. The first was the 20 minute pounding at Turning Stone by Jason Shaw where Mika threw his cue to the ground and sulked in his chair like a recalcitrant child.

The second was last year’s Derby where Pia Filler just drilled his ass and he angrily swept the balls at one point. This kind of behavior out of a Hall of Fame player is a disgrace. He’s always been a whiny little bitch.

I think all of the above are suitable for the thread, I'd like to see them here anyway.
I think OP means that they've lost the ability expected of a top player - the 'yips'

Justifiable tbh

I like the one where Earl waves his cue at JJ. Bet he shat a little when JJ beckoned him outside 😂
Jason was the one out of line there…it was obvious that Earl made the ball he played….a ref would’ve corrected him on the proper number…
….but the ref was distracted by something else. Earl was confused by the blue ten ball and the blue two ball.
It’s happened a few times in the history of the game….Jayson knew Earl made the ball he played.
