Would AZers support JoeyA's entry...

Since JoeyA has officially become an "A" player, would there be enough financial backing from AZers to pay his entry fee into Incardona's Dallas Open One-Pocket event Oct. 9-12? The initial entry is $1000, then buybacks are $500, $1000, and $1500 respectively. Of course we wouldn't expect Joey to need a buyback...;) Hell, I'm sure Smorg alone would contribute $500. (Early details are in the Tournament calendar section) Digs aside, I hope Bill has a wham-bang event, complete with streaming video and DVDs available!!!

You slept a looooooooooooong time: http://music.yahoo.com/library/?m=track&i=1217021&

Rip Van Winkle, Rip van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep, ha, ha, ha, haaaaa
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep

He fell asleep in the woods one day
Spent twenty years of his life that way

Rip Van Winkle, Rip van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep

That nagging wife kept all of his coin
None of his friends did he ever join

While those little elf's gambled on the green
He would dream, dream, dream

Oh well, he left his nagging wife now
He slept for 20 years
Didn't bother to wake up
He grew a long white beard
This is how the story goes
Listen my children and you will hear

He fell asleep in the woods one day
Spent twenty years of his life that way
That nagging wife kept all of his coin
None of his friends did he ever join
Rip Van Winkle, Rip van Winkle
Doo, doo, doo, doo, da-doo

Rip Van Winkle, Rip van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep
Rip Van Winkle, Rip van Winkle
Slept his life away
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle
Slept his life away

Doc, that is awful kind of you to offer this issue but I could not take another AZers money to play in this particular tournament. By the number of people and my pal Smorgass Bored rushing to put up money, they know the real story too.

I am pulling for Billy to have a great turnout as well. Has anyone said they are interested. Just curious.

Heading to Pensacola this weekend, maybe Mobile.

Keith spoke to Billy last night, and the tournament is definitely going to be one for the history books. This is only the first of many more to come, too. :)

There are many great events in the month of October, a pool player's dream. Imagine the after-hours activities at these events:

Carolinas Open
Goldsboro, North Carolina
October 2-7, 2007

Diamond Billiards One-Pocket Tournament
Diamond Billiards
Dallas, Texas
October 9-12, 2007

U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship
Chesapeake, Virginia
October 14-20, 2007

I'll guarantee you that each event will be jam-packed with lots of great players, and you can be sure, there will be action galore! ;)

I'd love to see "Biloxi Mike" Surber go to Dallas. But, alas, a working man probably couldn't get the time off.

Pensacola and Mobile? Do I detect a potential rematch with "Mophead" David T.??? BTW, I heard Tonto hasn't been playing...

Good luck, podna!

Doc

lol... yea Tonto hasnt been playing so i doubt you will get any action from him, and Mobile David T. isnt "Mobile" anymore... aparently he moved to Bham... yea... it wasnt just a road trip Doc.

anyway hey Joey, if you get to pcola this weekend then the place to go is Legends Billiards, if you need directions on how to get there then call me and i will let you know... i am sending you my cell phone # via PM...

looking forward to seeing you again.
