how does one go about getting an exorcism nowadays? no, no, not on me, on my Gold Crown. there's got to be something wrong with this table. or else its possessed by some kind of pool demon. i'll spare you the details about racking and breaking for hours and only a few decent chances to run out.

what, you think i'm kidding?

i take it that you mean by "chances to run out". that you broke, then the spread you got was impossible for most people to run out. if you broke then screwed up the run or it was a possible run out for a person with more skill than yourself, then that doesn't count as not having a chance to run out.

also i would assume that this only happens on your table, anywhere else you go you break and run like crazy. if you have the same thing happen other places, then your brake needs work.

another point.......didn't you say you were breaking a little sluggish when you were clocked in your lessons? 19 mph or so? that could be (read that is) your problem.......you need to work on your break......

not really sure why i replied to this as your problems seem neverending.............. :(

Well this is a pool forum, this is where other pool players engage in conversation about pool. You see no where did he post. Vapoolplayer do not post in here. It is your choice to engange in conversation. Yes DCP posts alot of topics on help. Hell i learn a lot of stuff from them. He wants to know more about the game. Thats why his "problems" are neverending. If no one helped him he would still have those problems but on forums like this. This is a place where people can learn..

conversation about pool is great........him asking questions to learn is great........an exorcism on a table isn't pool or learning about pool. its making an excuse for doing something wrong. the table isn't the reason he isn't running out...........i wasn't talking about his neverending problems with pool, i was talking about the other stuff, such as the table exorcism and whether a watch helps you play pool...........

thanks

I will perform an exorcism on your table for a mere $2,000 plus expenses. :D

DCP, perhaps it's your fault and perhaps it's not. We all have days when the balls don't break for us even when we're hitting the one square. Still, I think that if you are defining success as consisting of a run out and a run out only, then you are shortchanging yourself. Why not, instead, define success as either a) running out or b) finishing your turn with a well-played safety that, in a competitive situation, would make you a big favorite to win that rack? Remember, the player who knows how to control the table is a consistent winner in nine ball. You don't always have to run out to win! Go for the runouts that you'd go for in competition, and play safe when it's called for, even in practice. It might help your self-image.

Go a little easier on yourself.
