Would you call this great condition?

His birthday is in December nutjob. I’ll post a pic of him with the cue. And that’s all the info I’ll give you about my 14 year old son.

So you totally LIED about the birthday gift.I knew it! I have heard the birthday gift story before. It was a lie then and it is a lie now. Finally we found out who the real liar is.Whew, took a lot of posting lol.

This makes no sense to me at all. You are not a rationale person. I’m not responding to anything else you post.

This forum is getting to where its unfriggin believable the b s throwed around pretty freely. I have not read all the threads and really no need to because its mainly the same crap said over and over.

I don't have any I trader and never plan on it because threads lime this constantly remind me why I prefer to buy cues face to face.

The seller outright lied about the condition of the cue....oversight or not does not really matter. The op bought it for a birthday gift for his son. Apparently many if you don't have kids and if you do you must be some helluva kind of parents with your statements concerning what he should do about his kid wanting to keep the cue.

The comments saying he is lying about it being a gift for his son and calling the op Justin is fvckin ludicrous.

I started a thread a few years ago about my failed deal with a cue dealer that is highly respected from what I have read on here. And just like this thread posters came out in droves defending said cue dealer . I did not catch the crap that the op is catching but I feel that's because this forum has evolved over the last few years with the addition of some real assholes joining and older forum members that think their shit dont stink.

Damn shame when some one posts their experience and is called a liar...idiot....some other posters name as an insult.

In my case back then I had 2 respected cue makers verify to me that the dealer lied to me in order to try to downplay the value of my cue in a trade. Some people still defended the dealer when I said who the cue makers were and yet I was the one that was wrong.....according to people that had their own agenda for whatever reason. Just plain laughable the crap said in this thread and sad at the same time .

First I am sorry for adding to this, it has gone on way too long. The item was listed as:

Used: An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of

cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a

floor model or store return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details

and description of any imperfections. See all condition definitions

Yes he did say it was in great condition, and after looking at the pictures, I agree to that.

It is a nice looking cue, but it is still used, and it was listed with the disclaimer above.

Here is the link to the original listing,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PHILLIPPI-...CfrwCPM55oyS28qnW6dsI%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I think there are people here who also would pay his money back and shipping to end up

with this cue. Just saying...I'll refund your $$$ if you want to ship that cue to me. PM

me if you are interested. 100% serious.

Correct. I've bought cues on Ebay with the same desciption, usual wear, with the dings and smudges. It's the buyer's choice whether to do extra work on it. $600, an absolute steal on this cue, even with consideration of a refinish, if wanted.

Seems the "imperfection" is QUITE visible in the very first picture. "Great" is NOT immaculate, perfect, pristine, or "like new" condition.

Good post noMoreSchon, thank you .. should clear things up for a lot of folks; but sadly, it probably won't. I'd be /glad/ to get a cue like that.

The MO fit.

Could also be other very junior posters, now that J has been banned. Some seem extremely excited.

I suspect so. Always searching out a good deal, and then trying to scam the seller into something better. It fits his MO. And, there's no telling where he is, or what his name is. It's the man's MO.

The writing style gives away most.

Of course, I've left something out...

All the best,
WW

I used to play at bill and billies when it was on Crain highway. My guess is you are a child and too young to remember that.

I’m sure you are calling me Justin because it means something to regulars here. I have no clue what you’re talking about or who Justin is.

Bill and Billies was never on Crain highway. It had four locations, if you know, not on Crain Highway.

I'm 62.

His real name is Jeff DeLair. He is on FB and from his photos it looks like he has a son.I guarantee that the cue was NOT a birthday gift.

And if you go back that far, you can't have that young a son in the first place. Nice try.

Business park off Crain. Just down from empire towers and Carolina furniture. Then became jack and Jill’s when billies moved to sever a park across from the batting cages.

I’m 44. He’s my youngest. Are you here to be honest or just sling bull hit?

Why are you singling me out? :shakehead: I am one of dozens of posters in this thread who know, or know of Greg, and his cue sales record. That, and the fact that Jeff refused to send the cue back, postpaid, and get a complete refund, tell me enough to post what I did.

Quite a few people agree with OP, myself included, unfair for Scott to say that.
RJ hit the nail on the head earlier.

For your information, Bill and Billie's had four locations. First Glen Burnie, not on Crain Highway. Was owned by Ed Cecanes, the best table mechanic in the Mid Atlantic. Second, Brookland Park, closer to Baltimore, a bit north. Third, the industrial park, still in Glen Burnie, but not on Crain Highway. Fourth, Arnold, Maryland, not remotely near where you're talking about.

You are not 44. Please stop lying. And your BS with this cue is getting a bit old.

How far do you really want to go with this...

The business park in glen burnie was just off Crain highway! It was the same location as jack and Jill’s. When jack and Jill’s closed, Rick bought the tables and opened his place above the old rumble fish. Now Tony has brews and cues there. I played on the tap league in Annapolis that Tony’s mother in law used to run.

And Brooklyn Park must have been before my time. I worked at Fmc Baltimore in the 90s down in Curtis bay

No, completely wrong. Bill and Billie's went through a couple more changes before Rick bought it. I'm sure you've done some quick research, but you're wrong.

Realize you got a very nice Philippi cue, at way lower than market. If it has some imperfections, have them fixed, not hard to do. And stop trying to blame and hold the seller hostage over this little thing.
