Would you call this great condition?

Let's say you go out to dinner, kitchen serves you raw chicken, if they refund your money, then you can't complain or leave a review of what happened?

In almost any industry other than this sharing your experience good, bad or impartial is common place.
On az, if you get a refund, well shut your mouth

A tiny boo boo in a used cue isn't gonna kill anyone.

You can leave a review of what happened as long as it includes all of the facts including that the restaurant did not charge for the meal.

Everyone makes a mistake, but that does not grant the consumer a license after being made whole to light torches and make unfair and unreasonable statements or demands.

And especially since they decided to keep eating the chicken. ;)

Yes Sir you are correct. He has a right to complain. The deal was on eBay,and he left a negative feedback.Although ebay removed it because he tried to extort $100 from the seller by threatening to do so.It should have been over, but nooooo FB all day and here as well.Other than the seller being a member here this has NOTHING to do with AZB.
Why is the buyer not all over ebay for this? Here's why, they already explained to him that he is wrong but he can't face that or deal with it.

outdated

This thread has gone WAY beyond its "sell by date"
Name brand cue - worth money. Buyer hoped to get a steal and a bag of chips too. It needs cleaned up. Seller said he'd refund EVERYTHING. Quit your damned *****in and grow up. Send it back. Keep it as is. Or get it fixed up. This is all getting old. Time to move on (and I'm not the first to say that)

he made his post .. and now it's just beating a dead horse.

"So hey son, no birthday gift for you cause the seller didnt bother to take 5 minutes to look over the cue, don't worry we will get you something else. But in the mean time, lets drive across town to the post office, mail this back, hope its not damaged in delivery and waste our time and gas, then wait for the refund which possibly could not come or might come very late. Then you can get your cue"

Apples and oranges. If served raw chicken, you send it back right away, and they make it right. Or you can walk out of the restaurant, without any further dealing. You can leave a rating if you want after you walk out, no monetary exchange.

And, by the way, you really think there's a son involved here? A guy with a two hundred and some post count, figuring he has to set the world straight and moan to AZ about the injustice to his son. Suuuuuuuuuure...

I've seen enough creepy human nature on this thread, and it's all predictable. Some need a bit of psyops training. This is a case of grifting, buyer wanting more and more...

Maybe apples and oranges, but in the event that a person had to leave and was unable to eat due to time constraints( similiar to last minute gift shoping) the common practice is for the customer not to pay and most quality restaurants would go the extra mile and give/offer a voucher of some sorts towards their *next* visit since they messed up, especially if they are upset.
Which is what I said I personally would have done if I was the seller. I still think seller was reasonable in his offer, but OP has a right to be upset at sellers negligence.

Maybe OP is the type to try and get a freebie, I personally don't think so based off the thread, but with Greg's years of experience he should know better than to leave himself open by not looking over the cue before sending it out.
None this would have happened had seller not been lazy, or careless, including this thread

I want nothing from Greg. I offered him the chance to make things right, by paying the cost to put the cue in the condition he claimed it was in. He refused, I advised him that I would leave honest feedback about the transaction. I left him 1 star for item description, 3 stars for communication, and 5 stars for shipping.

And for the really nut job people that think this wasn’t a gift for my son, wtf??? I’ll post a picture of him with it after we get it fixed.

You people are clowns.

You are deflecting again. When was the young mans birthday? And let's see legit proof.
Also you didn't say what comments you made on that negative feedback that you tried to leave.Funny how you leave out your bad behavior.

You have no idea the deal you got. If veneered points, it should have been more like a grand. Refinishings are available, and very easy. But you come onto the board and obviously want to grift and whine, for what reason we can't figure out.

With that said, the conversation probably went something like this:

"Son, this Phillippi cue is a mess, let's get our money back and get something cool, in pristine condition"

"No dad, I want to keep the Phillippi cue with the porked up finish, that's the only cue on the planet I want for my birthday"

"Son are you sure?"

"Yes dad, this Richard Phillippi cue is the only cue I want,
my friends will go nutz when they hear I picked up a
Phillippi cue on the secondary market"

Don’t remember exact wording. Something along the lines of cue described as great condition but actually damaged.

It only gave me like 50 or 100 characters.

Hello, Justin...

I do know the deal I got.

But I also know that just because the auction ended for a lower price than I expected, DOES NOT make it ok that the seller lied about the condition. And furthermore, I don’t believe any reasonable person would be ok with receiving a cue described and shown in pictures as GREAT CONDITION, and then receiving the cue in the shape he sent it.

Then he makes it worse by coming here and LYING about it even more!

This has nothing to do with money. The petty amount we are talking about is less than I make in an hour. This is about right and wrong.

Nice cue for the money.

His birthday is in December nutjob. I’ll post a pic of him with the cue. And that’s all the info I’ll give you about my 14 year old son.

First I am sorry for adding to this, it has gone on way too long. The item was listed as:

Used: An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of

cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a

floor model or store return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details

and description of any imperfections. See all condition definitions

Yes he did say it was in great condition, and after looking at the pictures, I agree to that.

It is a nice looking cue, but it is still used, and it was listed with the disclaimer above.

Here is the link to the original listing,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PHILLIPPI-...CfrwCPM55oyS28qnW6dsI%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I think there are people here who also would pay his money back and shipping to end up

with this cue. Just saying...I'll refund your $$$ if you want to ship that cue to me. PM

me if you are interested. 100% serious.
