I had been working on matching up with this guy for a few days and we finally all set to play on saturday around 3 at a pool room where I was also playing an apa team event that day. We were supposed to play around 3pm cause thats when I would have the most free time but I kept getting the run around and we didn't end up playing till around 7. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but like I said I had a team event going on at the same time and to top that off I worked the night before and hadn't slept yet.
I've played this guy twice before and broke even once and came out on top once. We play the first set a race to 9 for 200 and he's playing at least 2-3 balls than I've ever saw him play. I have a TOUGH time getting started and he jumps up on me 7-0. I finally win a game but end up losing the set 9-5. We play the next set and my play steps up and his drops a little bit and I take this set 9-7. I wasn't happy with my play throughout either set so I felt like the smart thing to do was quit while we were even.
Should I have kept playing and tried to tough it out and win or am I right for quiting since I didn't feel like I could get the dough in the end?
