I don't know if I would buy one but they sure are promoting it well. I have seen Janette and Allen pumping the product during the breaks on billiard related TV. Interested to know if anyone has purchased it and if it works.

A new player learns all about the target point and tangent line and ghost ball and aiming line to the pocket all at once. What can be better?

Although it is not for me I would think that every pool school and instructor should have one. Just think how many hours of trial and error practice at the table this will eliminate.

I know so many people around here who have absolutely no idea what the word tangent means let alone what a tangent line is. they are called APA players.

This should make a nice Christmas gift.

But of course, like any other electronic product, the price will come down.

Probably after Christmas.

IMO most players that are at the level that they are willing to spend 180$ to improve thier game know where to hit the object ball, the problem for most is getting the cue ball to that point.
 
I watched the video, I would never buy one at this point in my life, but if I was a instructor such as some on this board are I would buy one for sure, I cannot think of a better way to teach aiming to students who are very new to the game. If I ever had a kid I wanted to get into the game very young that tool would be a godsend. There are some thin side pocket shots I would like to mess around with that for even myself, but not $180 worth.
 
For the $180+tax, anyone could get a cheap cue off ebay, table time, a couple of accu stats tapes and a few lessons from the house pro!
 
you cant denie what it is. It IS for beginers. And a beginer would probably be able to understand the basis physics much easier with one.

First you have to ask yourself what does it do? It projects lines (tangent and path of cueball) and a circle which represents the ghost ball on the cloth. Are you seriously going to sit there and tell me that you could not reproduce the same lines and circle on a piece of paper, put it on the table and lay the object ball on it? As a matter of fact you could even identify each line by writing tangent and object ball path on the piece of paper. And for an additional .0001 cents of ink you could make the deluxe version and write object ball and cueball in the circles.

One last note what happens when you get a true beginner that cannot hit the object ball and he smacks the base of the "Spider" and it goes flying across the room? I would figure that student would pay a lot more than 75 bucks for that one hour lesson.
