Brilliant...you traded a 3500 mottey for a simple 1800 sw cue and your happy,I'll bet Don wishes he had a 1000 customers like you
LOL

There certainly is no call for your statement, there is big difference between being a smart A$$ and being all a$$ , and your post leaves no doubt what you are.;)

Oh and by the way, Crack a smile for us!!!!!LOL:D

Here ya go, kids. These are actually the photos that Don sent to me. I took some photos tonight but they didn't come out this good so I'm going with these instead.

I believe he said he would post some "later tonight". And, since he is in Japan and it is tomorrow there, you need to wait a bit. :D
Oh yeah darn these international forums.

I like your end of the deal that SW is a strong SW, congrats.

try selling a $4,000 Motty for $4,000 and see how many customers you get-you wont.

try and not scratch this cue, its possible to play with a cue for years and never ding them, I have a SZ I used for 7 years and the butt is as clean as yours is.

i did a deal with Don once, We were both very happy, He gets nervious when you bust out big cash, I never seen someone get so rattled, we were both happy in the end. I like him.

I worked his booth this year.
He is a great, honest guy.
Congrats on your new SW bro.
She's purdy.

Congrat's on your sw cue,it is nice. All that matters is your happy and I'm sure Don's happy and you took my comments very professionally unlike some others but we wont go into that because really the sw cue is something you desired dearly and I know how that can be,it doesnt matter what you traded if it was just laying around in your collection and now you have something to be admired
Good Luck

Nice SW!
I recently bought this SW

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=96975

and I F'ing LOVE IT! I'm sure you will also. They're everything you've heard they are. I consider them functional works of art.

Here's a little story

I had the wrap changed on mine (yes already) and the cue maker that did it actually says to me SW does perfect work and then talking about my cue says "this cue is the most prefect example of their perfect work I've ever seen. I'm jealous i wish it were mine"

Anyways enjoy it!

I have to say though I've got better looking joint protectors :D

What year is yours?

Congratulations on your new Southwest. I'm glad you're happy with your new cue. I wish Paul could make a piloted joint that was perfect like Tascarella's.

Any pics of the Mottey that was traded?,just curious. :)

Yeah, here ya go.

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=98059

The cue's original price in dollars was $3975. At that time the dollar was pretty strong so I ended up paying $4980 for it.....if you think of 1 dollar equaling 100 yen. At that time I think 1 dollar was 126 yen or something like that. I know the dollar has lost it's strength, and I feel bad for you guys, but it really makes things easier for me since I actually have to work with the exchange rates.

Nah, man, I didn't take any offense to that. Like I said, with everything laid out and looking at it it really wasn't too bad of a trade. Pretty much even really. And, like you just said, I got a cue that I really desired but could never get my hands on. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. hehe!!

Yeah it was the color that caught my eye. But I must say it looks totally different since I put the lizard skin wrap on it.

Yeah, that was a nice looking cue. It played lights out too. See, I'm just the opposite, I love a piloted steel joint. Nothing feels better to me. But I am really liking this SW.

Yes hit is very subjective. My buddy and me compared our Phillippis one time and it was dramatic. He had a 5/16-14 and mine was a 3/8-10,we hit with eachothers and agreed mine had alot more action and was live, his was a 14.1 cue IMO and mine was more a 9 ball cue.I personally couldnt stand his cue and it felt dead to me but then again he probably couldnt play with mine because he would lose the cueball. :)

I like a real solid hit to a cue, like it's one piece. What bothers me is a soft tip and if the shaft feels light. You know, I've got 7 custom cues that I really like and not one of them was under a thousand dollars. Then next to that I've got a 150.00 Cuetec Strickland model, the old time white one, that hits just as well as any of my customs. I was in the pool hall last night and my Cuetec is up on the wall. Haven't touched it for a loooooong time. I grabbed it off the wall and it felt like good old times. Everyone that has ever shot with my Cuetec says it doesn't feel like a Cuetec. It hits real nice.

and that Strickland white.........badass!!!
