5 women representing the USA. Pretty sweet. However, I'm not familiar with Sara Miller and Erin McManus? Can anyone shed light on their games?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the results. Most on AZB think the U.S MC team is going to get a shellacking. I don't. But the 5 U.S women will get steamrolled in China. Jeanette over Kelly 7-5 hard to believe. Johnnyt

Wow, 2 upsets -Jasmin and Kelly Fisher lost
Chen Siming on form whitewashing Iris Ranola. Surprisiing despite her phenomenal talent she has been underperfoming and not won W9B. Expecting her to win if not this year then in next couple years

More results just posted on the WPA Facebook Page. I believe I incorrectly stated that it was round robin earlier. Looks like each group is in effect playing a double elimination tourney.

The most notable result is that after Kelly Fisher lost to Jeanette Lee on the winners side of Group H and Jasmin Ouschan lost to Chichiro Kawahara, Kelly and Jasmin just played with Kelly winning 7-5. I believe that means that Jasmin is out of the event.

A note to our fans: I have arrived at the arena here in Guilin, and have been informed that there is no live stream of the group stages.(no cameras on the tables.) Once we get to the knockout stage on Friday, however, the event will be moved to another arena so we will have to wait and see then. For sure the semis and final on Saturday will be aired live on China's CCTV so we should be able to find a link for a live stream.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. We will update you as we get more information.
