Thanks LS. I have a habit of rooting for people I have watched and met and the only ladies I've seen play in person are Tiffany, Karen and Julie.
Good for Tiffany for finally breaking the top 10.

Landshark nailed it, Koop. Let me just add that Tiffany Nelson reached #12 in the rankings on more than one occason in 2002, but this year is the first time she cracked the top ten.

Thanks sjm and LS! I really enjoyed watching her play while she was still in the northeast and hope she continues the upswing.

Yeah, the tournament that dropped off was the 2004 BCA open. The brackets http://www.wpba.com/cms/?pid=1003734 confirm that Chen went two and out in that one.

Yes, that was the worst tournament Jennifer Chen has had in a very long time. However, she has been doing pretty well since the beginning of this year. She could not attend this event in Florida due to an unfortunate incident of food poisioning. I hope she will do well in IL to make up for her absence this time.

Hey bud,

Not trying to pick on your thread but it sparked a question I have. What is it with pro pool players and food poisoning? I can't tell you how many times I have heard about this. I'm fairly certain they are all unrelated but it really seems like an epidemic at times.

Thanks,
Koop

Yeah, it just struck as me weird the amount of times I read about a poolplayer having to forfeit because of food poisoning.

Considering how much they're on the road and how many dives they eat it... I would think that the possibilities for them to get it would be a little higher than for those of us that tend to eat at home more... ;)

Very true. It's just something I noticed keeps cropping up. I believe it happened to Allen Hopkins during an event he was doing really well in too.

My advice: Keep away from the seafood while playing in a tournament ;)

Maybe they're being "comped" on the all you can eat food bars and getting there late when some of the foods have turned.
