It is funny that Jenn has had to play 3 Melissa's in a row.

Seems Allison Fisher has caught a serious stroke. Her last five opponents couldn't get to nine on her................combined! 9-1, 9-2, 9-2, 9-1, 9-2.
 
I must have read the chart wrong on the WPBA website. I had thought the finals for this event were to commence at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Did they decide to hold the finals tonight instead? :confused:

Hunh?!?!? This is Saturday right. Oh I get it, Marissa making a prediction. The Lil' Devil Girl is tough but I think the Widow is up to the task and Monie is overdue to kick some butt. Melissa and Jenn are both also due. But I always got to go with the Assassin.

I just went back and took a look at the WPBA website. It is showing that Jennifer Baretta defeated Melissa Herndon 9 to 3. The winner of Karen Corr and Jennifer plays Jeanette Lee at 10:00 p.m. tonight.

This is not a prediction, it is a recap of the 2004 Women's US Open. The payouts indicated by Marissa are not the amounts that will apply at WPBA Florida.
 
The chart states that first place pays $10,000 for this tournament, which is a nice paycheck for one of the remaining lady pros.

I'm still predicting the big "W" for Monica Webb. I hope she is able to keep her momentum going. It would truly be a wonderful win for her!

Is this tournament going to be televised later?

No biggie, Marissa. I often check out the brackets from tournaments past. That event was AZB columnist Herndon's best tourney, and a fun one to take a retrospective look at.

Yes, all WPBA events are televised.

Ga Young got the win over Monica. And, Allison took out Christy to set up a Fisher vs. Fisher match to see who plays on TV. Jennifer vs. Karen hasn't been updated yet.

Winner of that plays Ga Young "Lil' Devil Girl" Kim in the finals.

Well, all that remains is the TV rounds. After their second round losses, both Allison Fisher and Karen Corr won seven straight on the loser's side to reach TV, where they will play each other in the quarterfinals. The winner plays Webb, and the winner of that one plays Ga Young kim.

Allison will remain #1 and Karen Corr will remain #2 no matter what happens on Sunday, though Karen can close the gap between her and Allison significantly if she wins the event. By my calculations, the battle for #3 is in the hands of Monica Webb. Monica would claim the tour's #3 ranking by winning the event, otherwise Ga Young Kim would leave WPBA Florida ranked #3.

Ga Young played sloppily winning her last 3 matches and will have to step it up to win it all Sunday. Some are saying she is obviously bored and playing to the level of her opponents- We shall see.

Blackjack and I sweated some matches together- a very fine knowledgable gentleman he is.

I'm jealous. I've wanted to meet Blackjack Dave for a long time. Bet he was a little disappointed that Jennifer Chen missed the event.
