WPC 2007-live internet coverage dates & times

Leonardo Andam just made it to round of 64. He is the 9th Filipino to make it to the next round. Filipinos are doing very well, they now have 9 out 10 who have already played and De Luna and Manalo might join them too assuming they win their current matches. Even if they lose, they still have another chance in a knockout match because they have both won their first games today already. Taiwanese have already lost 3 players so far but it is just Lining for the Filipinos.

Thanks for the updates.

Wow, Andam won first against Souquet, then Hundal. Not to mention he had to win one of those brutally tough qualifiers to get in the event. Not bad for a Filipino old-timer.

Does anyone know how old Andam is compared to Reyes and Parica? I've never seen him play.

Hurray for Andam!! The 'rattlesnake' still has some 'sting' left in him. I hope Andam and Ramil Gallego go far in this tournament. Gallego had a spectacular run in the US Open. Losing his very first match, he won about 12 games in a row in the loser's bracket beating the likes of Efren, Bustamante, Hohmann, Mike Davis, etc. In the current WPC, he won 2 games in a row and gave Chang of TPE who made a name for himself in the Guinness tour, quite a beating.

I am sure that nobody would like to face these 2 old warriors anytime soon.

Andam is 47 according to a story on AZ.

Efren is 53- not sure about Parica.
Thanks. Andam isn't an old-timer. He's young comparatively! ;)

I believe Parica, Efren, and Luat are all older than him. I was guessing that Andam was closer to Parica's age.

Earl on the hill. He is about to notch his first win. Montal on the hill too against Hohmann. Manalo starting to pull away at 6-3. Is it bye-bye to Thorsten? Earl will still have a chance if he wins this. He will next face the loser of the Manalo vs Li match in a knockout match. This will be the last match today in the TV table.

Oh snap! Souquet better win his next match to keep the German hopes alive. I believe Engert and Ortmann are still around though.

Crap, I'm supposed to be working. I'm going to hook up to Sopcast and watch it from a distance while I am banging out pages. :D

Don't y'all just love the Internet!? :p

Manalo over Li 9-7.

De Luna over Fu 9-3.

Filipinos are looking very sharp so far. Only Lining has gone to the showers, but hopefully he'll be able to see a silver lining to his early exit. Lol, sorry...I've been waiting for years to say that. :)

Manalo and De Luna just won their matches. That makes it 3 out of 3 for the Philippines on Day 3 (including Andam) and 11 out of their 12 players already going to the round of 64. Not only that but all 3 won both of their matches in convincing fashion. How strong is that? Only Luat, Orcullo and Gomez left to qualify for the Philippine team tomorrow.

Fabio versus Tan from Malaysia, the guy who beat Earl.

Go Fabio, Baby! Isn't he a cutie pie?! :p
