Of course they are cheering for there hometown boy, but I think they also applaud any good shot by either player.

Crowd noise? The worst I have ever heard was when Earl was playing in Europe. Air horns, stomping their feet on the ground, throwing pool players up in the air, screaming. Europe takes the cake for crowd noise for sure.

I understand. A crowd is a crowd is a crowd. Can't say Taiwanese or Filipino crowds are loud and not remember the crowd in that European venue. I don't see how you could hear yourself think, much less shoot pool.
