WPC 9 ball in Qatar

I learned how to say some Arabic words today:
Safety,
Cue Ball,
Side Pocket,
:)

Good for Yukio....World Champion
Japan has been having a bad time lately....this will put a bit of a smile on
some faces.

..personally, I think JoeyA cost Ronnie the title....he's still brooding over
his inability to get the cash at 1-hole in that spot

great job yukio!

Great job yukio, he played some solid ball.
Other than not understanding a word spoken, the internet feed was great!
Very professional world tournament with a nice presentation to the winners-

Ronnie Two

At 11-11 Ronnie missed the two in the side. He hit it too hard and just a hair off. It hit inside the pocket by a hair, but came back out. That, and missing the 8 ball a rack or two earlier cost him the match. In that last rack, Yukio did get a really good roll on the two though.

You know, I remember that shot and I could almost swear I saw the cue ball jump just a little, hopping if you will, toward the two ball. If this match is shown at a later date, I would love to see this shot again to see if it was just my imagination. If the cue ball hopped toward the two ball, that could have accounted for the missed shot.

Yukio held up under the pressure. Ronnie is going to have to live with another second place finish. I would hate for them to start calling him Ronnie Two.

My post on FB:

Akagariyama Yukio (12) vs Ronnie Alcano (11)
Ronnie makes this combo then misses a "gimmie" two. Yukio, smooth as silk, runs it out with perfect position on each shot.

I have this pic there too -- without the red stuff of course. (This is a screen shot of that pic which was also a screen shot so it's blurry, but you get the picture <no pun intended>)

Screen shot 2011-07-01 at 4.46.27 PM.jpg

Edit: Here is a clearer pic. I have lots of pics from the event on my Wall Photos.

Where did you read this? This is immense for a pool player. It's immense for any man or woman.....

If it's true, Yukio has my utmost respect as well.

Thanks for mentioning it. Hopefully, you can provide a link to the article.

Anyone recorded this match? Able to post up on YouTube ?

I did. Unfortunately it's web broadcasting and my screen recording software f**ked up. I only have "no audio" version. It's complete though. The quality is so so but better than none.

If u do upload it please provide link here, I would mute while watching anyway, so no audio does bot bother me one bit. Tia
