I am excited. Today, I am going to put a wrap on a Frog jump cue.
The original had absolutely no glue on the handle. If it did, it evaporated.

The reason I am excited is that I don't get to practice many wraps.
Just not a call for it here.

I was watching Darcy's (CueJoe) UTube video of him wrapping a jump cue
using the pull under method instead of drilling holes.

I know, small things amuse me but I am excited about trying it.

Thanks Darcy, great video.

KJ is sending me some cork wraps. Soon, I will get to have a nice one on my main player too.

Natural color will go nice with the wood but, in the future should I decide to dye one, what is a good dye to use that won't rub off on someones hand if it gets sweaty?

I was thinking maybe liquid shoe polish. Anything else better than that?
I think if you put a finish over the shoe polish, it might be ok, otherwise it might rub off.
Thanks,
Terry.

Have fun Terry, and let us know how it turns out.

A good alchohol leather dye such as Feibings works well for me,sealing the wrap groove well is good insurance and do not flood the wrap with the dye, you run the risk of the dye creeping along the grain under the finish.
Good luck,
Wayde
