I’m looking at putting an elephant ear wrap on a cue of mine and wondering who this wealth of knowledge would suggest. Something within reason, I can’t really afford to have Ernie or Barry do it, but someone who does a nice job.

Drew,

Steve Lomax is the best. He probably puts on more leather and real skin wraps than anyone.

Real elephant is pricey though. Have you looked at any of the leather prints? They're not the same, but still real nice and half the price.

If you need contact information for Steve, call us here at the shop. 877-399-9901. He is in Virginia right now, but I can give you his email so you can reach him.

Agree with Royce...Steve is DA MAN!

and btw, Royce - thanks for the quick turnaround on my OB Breaker! Been playing a bunch of 1P - but I will finally use it tonight (8ball league). Heck, I might even just go ahead and play league with it....it's a little stout and the Samsara tip is a tad on the firm side, but I shoot pretty darn well with it playing barbox 8ball. Thanks again.

btw, if Royce recommends someone (in this case, Steve Lomax), he has to be good; cuz OB is tops in customer service, and knows how to treat their customers.

thanks everyone, I'll post pics when I get it done. Should be sweet looking when it's all said an done

If you are going to the SBE Steve Lomax & Joe Blackburn will be there. Their booth will be just as you get down the stairs to the right of the lower level.
I think it's Booth L-42

I wish I could make it. I got too much going on here, school, wedding &... Someday I will make it there.

What is the feel difference between Elephant ear and normal leather?

My guess is Elephant is a bit more expensive.....

What about a stacked Elephant ear wrap....that would be nuts..

If you're looking to save a little money on getting a new wrap on your cue may I suggest buying the wrap somewhere and then have someone install it.
I've found that it's a lot cheaper doing it this way.

Not sure what color elephant wrap you're looking for but I have some very nice honey brown in stock right now for only $65 on my website and in the near future I'll have Black, Brown, and Gray Elephant.

Anyone looking for wraps at SBE I'll have a wide variety of Embossed Leather and Genuine Skins there.
I'll be on the Lower Level in Booth L22 next to Pooltees and Pool I.Q.

I'm acctually going to see him in a couple of weeks at black gold in Miami. I didnt think about him being there till you brought him up. Thanks ghost.

Jim Lee (S&D Customs here on the Forum) did 3 of mine. Excellent workmanship at a really low price.

I would go to a cuemaker and look at and feel the leather. The elephant ear I felt, felt like sandpaper.
