Wrapless Black Boar?

Has anyone ever seen Tony/heard him say anything about why there aren't any wrapless BBs out there?

Any particular reasoning? Does he simply test and try everything with a wrapped cue and refuse to risk trying it to a cue without one?


Or have I just not seen any wrapless ones...

He uses a one-piece maple core fwiw.
Exposing that maple won't look all that pretty.
He does not core the handles afaik.
Just the forearm.

I had one.
We agreed on a certain color paint over the handle area, to cover up the wood when he made it.
Looked great, but his finish was just too damn slippery.
Any moisture whatsoever and the cue flew out of my hands.
Opted to then replace the handle area that was painted, with a leather wrap.
Had it ever since.

If I am not mistaken, I believe Kevin West From the Maryland/Delaware area, is one of the only other people to have one made for him by Tony.
So there were at least two in existence.
Dunno how many more might be out there.

I asked Donnie about 3 Days ago for a wrapless Black Boar and he said NO as Tony dosen't like the Hit and he would make only a super fancy Cue wrapless for a Display.
