I dont remember having read any thread about the grip and wrist for three cushion and im not sure if im doing it right..

He told me that my grip is too tight...
He also said I should use more and less wrist action for different shots...

I dunno.....

So how should i grip the cue, loose, tight, 3/4/5 fingers, etc....?
And how much of wrist movement should I use when stroking?

Thxxx

Get a rubber sleeve for the grip area so you don't need much gripping force to keep the cue from slipping. Don't worry about your wrist. Your arm should be doing the work -- the wrist is just along for the ride.

Sightline,

Since I am convinced that 3 cushion required one stroke, Wrist and arm dosen't matter.

Just hit the ball. Everything is automatic.

I basically grip the cue with all five fingers and my wrist movement is very very little when i shoot.

What about a miscue on draw shot, what happen there??? I notice that my grip is tighten more as i push the cue faster, the next thing i know is a miscued and even a jumbed ball. It doesn't happen that often but still i want to know why in order to correct it.

Work on your draw shots. Make sure your tip is much better chalked than normal -- make sure every part of the working surface of the tip is covered with a smooth coating of chalk. Then, gradually make the shot longer and harder. A shorter bridge may help you to hit where you want. If your grip hand goes up at the wrong time your tip will go down at the wrong time and you will miscue.

Gilbert, Blomdahl said he only have one stroke and while Zanetti has as many as 20 different ones...

Good luck with your up, down, left, right, short, long and so and so strokes.
Im looking to perfect my one stroking technique, a dead-on straight, smooth stroke with good amount of follow through....

Sight; I'm just curious, what part of the world do you live? USA, Europe, Asia, Mexico, S. America. Are there any qualified 3 Cushion instructors in your area?

Sightline,

I m convinced 100% that you and the rest of the Azers are right.
No body knows the game better than blomdhal. If he said one stroke it is one stroke.

Thanks for wishing me luck .
