Wrong Ball

Was that poor sportsmanship on Shane's part to let him shoot the 5?
Playing for money, no way I tell my opponent he is making a mistake. That’s why you practice. However, Shane did stand; couldn’t tell whether he was about to say something or just getting ready to shoot. I hope Shane’s opponent learned a valuable lesson. Part of being a professional is paying attention.

No, Shane isn't the ref and if he interfered it could also be considered sharking or bad sportsmanship.

The balls are a travesty. Great concept for a set but idiotic making the 5 the traditional color of the 4. Idiocy to do it and arrogance to not correct the issue at this point.

Oh... but muh pink 4! It's brand recognition! Aramith are idiots for making the set this way and Matchroom is even worse for endorsing the set.

If Shane was the one shooting the wrong ball, and Joey Tate was the one in the chair, the American pool world would be screaming "WhY dIdN'T jOeY tAtE sAy SoMeThInG???"

Nope. In other sports opponents don’t stop play and say your are about to make a mistake, do it this way.
Friendly night at league with friends is one things. Pro event is different.
What if a spectator yelled out “wrong ball” before he shot, which resulted in him stopping and realizing his mistake? Just curious what the ruling would have been and whether the spectator would be required to leave?

If not or even if they were, it makes you wonder why someone from his support team didn’t try to get his attention to stop him from making this critical error?
