would like to buy a 3/8-11 butt. i have an old sw shaft and would like something cheap to put it on. butt should weigh around 15oz. not wanting anything fancy either. thanks.

If you check my sneaky pete listings, I have some of those that would work. You might want to check the diameter of that SW shaft at the joint first, though. My SW is much thinner at the joint than the average cue.

Southwest cues are usually between .825 and .828 O.D. at the joint.

doesn't southwest use a diffrent thread pitch on their pin than other makers even though they both might be 3/8x11?
