All McDermotts will be considered. Would really like a D-17 from the 80's. However, I'll consider them all.

Ouch. I lost my D17 this past January (it grew legs). What a nice playing cue, with nice sharp points. I'm still trying to find my comfortable playing cue.

mine was a little rarer, as it had a natural maple forearm, rather than the charcoal.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll find some McDermott's on this board.

I have a couple of C series cues, one has warped shaft, but the C11 is a great player and is pretty to boot! Thanks for your interest.

I've got a D-16 with an ivory ferrule and a month old refinish. Not wanting to give it away though. PM me an offer.

You can contact me as well for further info. on any of those cues listed under "collectable". I have additional cues in my personal collection. Just ask, I may have what your looking for.

Question on older McDermotts

Do the older McDermotts play the same as the newer ones? I guess what I'm asking is, will a cue/wood wear out with age?

In most cases the age really doesn't matter. Many would argue(myself included) that the older the shaft the better. As for McDermotts, it's my opinion that their best cues were made prior to 1990. It's so subjective though. Happy hunting.
