Looking for a good condition Black Boar and it doesn't need to be pristine because I will most likely get it refinished from them.

3-5k.

Let me know what you have.

If you reach out to Tony 6k will get you a brand new one.

I just visited Tony at the beginning of February to discuss a new build. There’s isn’t anything he’ll put together for $6k because he’s done with (and has been for a while) simple designs. $10 to $12k would get a buyer the kind of cue Tony’s working on at this point in the arc of his career, and if you want something that isn’t part of his current repertoire, the price will be astronomical.

Ok, I visited him last year and must have misunderstood. I thought he said a Merry Widow was 6K (I was thinking about squirreling away one). Anyway Boar's are nice, but no cue is worth anywhere near that to me.

I like the parabolic grip, but that technology does not help if you are not playing off the back of the cue. His low deflection shafts are nice, but not revolutionary.

Plus not to be a downer, but when Tony retires who would service that investment. I don't blame these cue makers for getting what the market will pay, but 10K...

What he may have been referring to is the replacement value of the cue, which is stated on COAs typically for informational and/or insurance purposes.

You’re not wrong about the future of Black Boar... Hopefully he’ll find someone soon.

I think i saw a few at cornerstone cues site posted around 5500 - 6500. Not sure if they are available, or if the site is up to date. there was a 6 pointer, that was refinished, I remember that. didn't say by whom though. I believe the Cornerstone owner is a member here, but I don't recall his forum name.

I have a build coming soon after years of trying to find a BB.

Never found one and most likely giving up on a BB since the lock down has pushed me away from the game.

You never know I may put that's coming up for sale. It's not a BB.

For $10 to $12K you could get Gus Szamboti to make you a cue.

Six point IMHO is not in your price point range at 3-5k.
Found some online.

Just seeing what everyone has here that I may like.

I like to mention I’m not looking for RS or AS models or the new crown butt cap ones.

Any non-intricately designed ones will do. 6 pointer.

I may have to fly out to Maryland and meet the guy since this is how he likes to do business. He likes to get to know his customers before a build.
