Looking for some kind of cue glide or cue silk in a bigger bottle than a 1/4 of an oz. I think it's rediculous to sell them that small. I bought a bottle of stuff called KCR glide off of Ebay a while back and it's the best. Wish I could find more of it. But if anyone has anything like it please let me know.

I have a bunch of the small Cue Silk bottles available. Let me know if you are interested.

Cue silk is just Biosilk (a hair product) that is put into smaller bottles. Get the big bottle of biosilk, you'll probably never need any more again.

I don't know where you would get it locally, but I'm sure you could google it. My mother is a hairdresser, and one day I smelled something familiar in her shop... I thought "no way"... sure enough, it's got that nice smell, and makes the shaft slicker than hell. All the cue silk guys are doing is making about 2000% profit off of it.

Josh is right. Go to the hair care aisle of your local drug store. Start reading the ingredients on .... mostly No Frizz type products. Look for products with high concentrations of ... Cyclomethicone and/or Dimethiconol or Dimethicone.

BINGO .... you've got slick !!!

Would you be able to tell the difference in any of the white creme cleaners
with a little grit in it sold for shaft cleaners and lets say, VIM or any of the like bathroom cleaners. I don't want to give anyone any ideas and have them screw up any of their billiard equipment, al I know is one of the local billiard shops uses Vim as a shaft cleaner. I've used it, you can buy a small bottle for a fraction of the cost of a Brand named shaft cleaner. Maybe Vim has some ingredients in it that you wouldn't want on your shaft wood.

Okay. If you're looking for shaft cleaners .... Nothing beats Magic Eraser pads. A little bit of water, clean your shaft, including ferrule, dry well, and You'll never use another product again ..... EVER.

I slice my Magic Erasers in 1/4" mini erasers. Each mini-eraser will clean a shaft or two.

I'm a bit more frugal. ME in my house gets chopped smaller than that.
I found a generic brand of ME, even cheaper.

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but I cut them exactly the same and use one for about 2 weeks after each playing/practice session. I also use the dime shaped Willard shaper after each session. My local 99 Cent store carries the Rinso brand equivalent of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (and it works just as well and it's a lot cheaper). Every time I pull my cue out of the case it's like playing with a brand new cue.

Yep! I use FX Silk Drops ($4.99 for a 4 oz bottle at Walgreen's). I've used it, or similar products, for at least 9 years without any problems. Works great and leaves the cue shaft feeling slick as ice.
