Anyone have a used pair of the ugly large eyepiece glasses. Cant get used to regular glasses. Only see top of frame. Realize may be a problem getting local eye doc to install new lenses. 62 and cant see them like I once could. Just thought I would ask. Thanks Rod

I can make you a brand new pair for around $150 if you have a current prescription you can send me.

Could you please post some pics of the glasses you make? Or do you have a website that shows the glasses?

Consider this also..

You should give some thought to anti glare coating as the lights from above tend to get between the forehead and the lenses. I would also make sure the focal point is raised and not in the middle of the lens and lastly anti scratch coating. Just a couple thoughts Good Luck!

Have you done this before? Where do you locate the optic center?

Before I had lasik, I had a set made: the frames were reading glasses and the lenses were around 2" tall. The optic center was located while I was down on a shot and turned out to be around .5" above normal.

I know of someone else that my be interested in having a set made. If you post pics or a description I'll pass the info along.

Glasses!

Sadly enough, I'm interested. I've been wearing glasses for the past 8 years...but when it comes to pool, I take them off and I wing it. I do pretty good though...but obviously, If I could see the balls better I'm sure I could improve.

So, DWBOD, Please post some pics of what you can make or post a website if you have any to show...I think I'll go and get my eyes checked again, to get a new prescription.

I think you've got a new hobby starting here Doug...
Forget about selling cues, you can just make the glasses for all the pool players...lol

Even with glasses I may not make many balls but at least I can see what I am missing

You shoot great now Ron. I would hate to shoot against you if you get better glasses. No one will be able to touch your game then.

Who is Ron? Is that HotRod's alter ego? Rod shoots lights out now, he just wants to SEE the balls drop in instead of just hearing them drop in!

Subscribing!!

Can you extend this offer to others as well? I have a pretty strong prescription (around -6.0...if that makes sense) and needing a slight prism. Do you offer this in a higher index lens? if so, at what price point?

thanks in advance!

You guys are funny. If I play Stevie Wonder, he spots me the 8 ball just to make it interesting. You young boys day is coming.By then I will have quit shooting and yall can fight over who gets my glasses. Wait and see, give you 10 more years.

I have a pair coming out of the lab within the next day or so, I will get you guys some pics. The price I quoted was for a single vision lens in a rimless frame. I can do any coating or tint you like. The key to these is getting the optical center of the lens in the proper place, the higher your prescription is the more critical this becomes. I will keep you posted.

Pool Glasses

This is what I make as pool glasses, I'll admit there not the most fashionable specs out there, but they are made to work. These will only work in single vision and high prescriptions will be difficult.
