bumper...

i'm still unsure if i would want one, but for $15 why not. But for $25, do you guys use it with a rake and stroke like normal or use your own hand bridge with a super long bridge distance? I've been getting better at my rake usage b ut obviously cant put much spin on it. to those who own them, how do you rate your play without using it and using a rake and the side arm stroke?

I don't change anything when using one!!''IF'' you get it and try it out for awhile you'll be wandering why you didn't get it sooner!!
makes using a bridge cue on those super long stretches easy as pie!!!!!!!!$15 is dirt cheap (cheaper than I can buy)and I live 2 miles from John's shop and know him considerably well

$15 is dirt cheap, but $10 makes all the difference! I would certainly buy one for $15 if anyone had one, even if 2" sticks out of my cue pocket (which with 16" it will, but at $15, I don't think I would care nor would it hurt it, right?)

Do you find you use all the 16" or only half or so?

you wont care and it wont hurt a thing!!!there is a ''few'' crazy shots you'll need all of it!!

I had 2 and always sold them to my friends and now I want one and don't have any. I need to grab one as soon as they are available :)

I love mine. I just wish he would make it with a string to attach to a case. I dont like sticking mine in the pocket of my Justis.

you know what, maybe I will get a rubber band (or black hair tie) and attach it to the side of my case! anyone try that? just make sure to dry it out before putting the cue in it if it was raining.

Maybe I'll bump up to a 18" or 20" then.. or would that be overkill?

Very good extension. Light weight, good feel, easy fit, NO complaints.

bump / any comments on strapping it to the outside of cue case

I have a 20" and that's what I do. At my height and reach (6'0, average wingspan) with a standard 58" cue I can reach basically anything on a 9 footer with the 20" Hager that I wouldn't rather shoot lefty. I hardly use the mechanical bridge anymore save for obstructed shots and applying draw, follow and english is of course a lot more natural.

At first I had it stick out of a long pocket but strapping it is a lot better. Since it's so smooth high friction ties like rubber bands work best. An idea I had for a custom case attachment was a discrete leather loop on the side of the case that would taper ever so slightly and hold the Hager snug like a holster of sorts. Alas, I am rather broke and won't be buying a custom case anytime soon but if you're ordering one it could be worth looking into.

thanks for the input supafoo.

damn, went to pull the trigger on the 20" from the website and shipping totals it to $40! looking for new/used 20"

I bought a 20" Hager at the DCC from Cueaddicts, I love it, use it more playing one pocket then I do playing 9 ball. I don't think I have used the bridge since I bought it. I had to pick up a Its George case with a 20" pocket to carry it in, but that case works great. Good luck...
