Hi Ron, you mean the J.EF Q Cases which were made by Nora Van Horn and sold by Jay Flowers.
Just to keep things clear the J.Flowers line is not a copy of the cases you are referring to. The J.Flowers line is a tribute to the J.EF Q Cases by working in the same general style, the western saddle/holster look that was first popularized in cue cases by Jay Flowers' sales.
The J.EF Q Cases are much shorter with very small pockets. The J.Flowers cases are made for modern cues and able to accept up to 31.5" cue parts. They also have a longer and high lower pocket with a compartment for a jump cue. The upper pocket is also a generous size. The interior is well padded and keeps the cues from sliding or rattling in transport.
I just wanted to clear this up so that there is no misconception. We took the barest elements of the tooling style and made our own version of the western/cowboy look. If anything the J.Flowers cases are closer to what Mr. Justis makes in profile than to what Mrs. Van Horn made. Some have suggested that they are a poor man's Justis as a mark of derision. Well, people will say what they want but I just invite anyone to get one and make up their own minds about how it stacks up on quality for the money.

In it one can see the diversity that Jay and Nora put out there. I personally just didn't want Jay to be forgotten and thankfully it's through the establishment of the J.Flowers brand that we came to find out that the actual maker of the cases was Nora Van Horn. Because of the J.Flowers tribute we have come into contact with the Van Horn family as well as with Jay's daughter and been able to tell the complete story of the J.EF Q Case brand.
This is the best comparison picture I have of the J.EF Q Case and the J.Flowers Tribute. The J.EF Q Case is on the left.
