Kamui will sell their Chalks again but only personal pick up in LV not for shippment. Anyone who's going to buy some of this? I need 10 of this.

<<<Kamui™ Chalk is now available for BCAPL attendees!

Dear Steven,
Kamui™ has been known for products in which research and science have been the foundation of all billiard tools introduced to the market that are designed to actually enhance the play and performance of both the player and his cue. Kamui™ has now re-invented the industry's idea of "chalk". After two years of research and development and over 100 versions tested, Kamui™ did a soft launch of the new Kamui™ Chalk at the Super Billiards Expo in Philadelphia, PA early this year.

Due to the overwhelming response at the SBE, and the risk of the Kamui™ Chalk being sold out, KAMUI™ USA is releasing a limited quantity of the chalk for pre-order
to be picked up at the BCAPL National Championships May 11-22, 2011 at the Riviera Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

This pre-ordered purchased chalk will not be shipped. BUT can be picked up in person with a valid ID. We encourage you to call (877) GO KAMUI

(877- 465-2684) EXT-4 with any questions regarding this process.

PRICE: $25ea.

RULES:

1. Must be attending BCAPL Nationals Championships in Las Vegas
2. Can purchase chalk now until Friday May 6th, 5pm for delivery in Las Vegas (WILL NOT SHIP must be picked up in person)This gives a FAIR chance to those who show up later in the week.

3. Pick your Chalk order up at the McDermott BOOTH.

To order: please call 877-465-2684 EXT-4>>>

This is getting ridiculous. Even though I defend Kamui's right to price the chalk (or whatever it is) at $25 per piece and I respect their support thus far AND I respect their willingness to go out on a limb with this I think that the elitism is really unnerving.

If the idea of chalk has been reinvented then why is Kamui still calling it chalk? If it's not chalk, i.e. silicate and glue compound then what is it?

At the risk of being sold out? What's the difference between between being SOLD OUT before the show or when the show starts? So that they can have a stack of them on the table and a sign telling people that they are already sold out?????

And Steven, you want ten pieces? Seriously?

Wow. Well hope you can find a reliable courier. I am sure that the next move is to limit each person to one cube per year, with a biometric means of preventing multiple purchases, creating a black market where the price per cube goes to $100 per piece.

I put in a request to get a piece from Guerra Cues. Tony says he has some. Screw it - I have blown $25 on worse things. Also I did try it and liked it in Hong Kong. So I am curious to see how it holds up with more use.

At 25 bucks a cube, that had better last 4-6 months each then it would be worth it. Sounds like they are trying to recoup the two years of R&D before making it available to the open market.

If you are using it as suggested, and you spend less than 12 hrs a day on the table, it should last a year or better. I've been using a piece approximately 20 hrs a week for the last month or so, and it still looks brand new. Haven't even started to wear the corners down, at least not any noticeable amount...

D

Agreed

I agree it lasts forever! Well almost forever

Ya put out a lil more $ upfront but ya get what ya pay for in the end on this product also it requires less chalking at play time i think

I did the same last night from Tony. At least I can say I tried it, and I've blown $25 on worse things too, and they especially didn't last as long!
:p
