Looking for a travel bag, REALLY big.

Let me know what you've got. We're heading to Vegas and need something.

Thanks,
-Dan

i saw a nice, large, hobo bag on e-bay about a week ago,

i dont know if it is still available? It was 38" wide and deep, brownish color. Hope this helps

Mike

ps, the bid started at $39.99

Abe (i4pool) should be able to help you out.

I bought a large travel suitcase at Sport Chalet that is perfect for a case. It was about $100.

Russ......

Thanks for the tips, Im not even sure what our airline allows baggage wise. Maybe I'll have to ship my gear to the hotel.

cues

Shipping your cues to a hotel is an option but remember, that the shipper (i.e. UPS, Fedex, USPS) is not responsible for the package once it's been delivered. Which means, if it gets swiped from where the hotel staff puts your stuff, then it's probably not insured.

A lot of people pack their cue cases in with their luggage and check it in as baggage. Kind of stuck between a rock and hard place.. trust the hotel or the airlines. I've traveled quite a few times getting the big bag and packing all my stuff in it. I haven't had any problems personally but I know of a few friends that have had their luggage lost. Guess you have to take a chance somewhere.

From my experience, we can't carry cue case on the plane but airline always take good care of on fragile items...........

I travel with my cue and case, i'm not so familiar with aviation rules in the states cos they're just to fickle between airlines and airports. Technically 1x2 or 2x4 cases are well within hand carry restrictions but different airlines have it different. General cases are not bigger than architect's hand carry storage for drawings. If you fly business class it won't even be an issue. There's nothing about a cue that suggest a threat for the aircraft anything.

That said here's what i do when i really need to check in. Store my cues in JB's cases(hard tube great protection!) and then have the case in another travel bag made of Nylon that JB made for me. It even comes with a zipper that can be locked, so i line my clothes around the JB case and lock up the Nylon case. No probs at all.
