WTB: MY Dad's "Frank Paradise" Diamond King

Looking to repurchase my Fathers Paradise Diamond King that he purchased directly from Frank in 1958. My Dad grew up in Brooklyn, and played out of the "Ovington Lounge" in Bay Ridge and Frank McGowen's billiard hall on 50th and 5th Ave. in Brooklyn in the 1950's and early 60's.

Sadly Auctioned on Ebay to a gentleman in Metuchen NJ in 1998 for $1750
Traditional Level 4 Diamond King with with black irish linen wrap. Phenolic butt with two aquamarine rings. Under Plastic is my Dad's name A. Federman, Original By Frank Paradise. Whoever has this stick I'll pay big bucks to bring it home! My Dad will be 75 in August '08 and he's regretted every day he parted with it. Any info on purchaser would be greatly appreciated as well.

I hope you are able to locate it. It would make a wonderful gift and my best wishes to you in your search. Bump to the top for a great search.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your encouragement. I not overly optimistic but nothing ventured as they say...

Happy Holiday's and best of Health for the New Year.

Regards,

Jack F.

I wouldn't be too surprised if someone here knew who has it... Keep your head up... :p

My Dads Paradise

What a great and touching story. I wish you luck on your search and I will certainly keep an eye out.

Hangem,

Thank you for the heads up, that was my thought. I actually spoke with Mark in July at his annual tournament at "Pool Table Magic" concerning this cue, and it's history. Claimed the only person he knew in Metuchen, NJ was Steve Mizerak. My 74 yr. old Dad came in 3rd in his tournament with a house cue and lost in the semi finals to the eventual winner.

Didn't Joe Evans win a Diamond King on Ebay in the late 90's? I'd sure like to know if that was my Dad's.

Many Thanks,

Jack F.
