WTB......Paul Mottey CUE w/ Ivory Joint

I wanted to do a quick once around the block and check whether there were any Paul Mottey cues with ivory joint that might be available as I'm closing in on one right now and I'd wanted to double check....I considered a nice looking used Paul Mottey on Cue Addicts which has been awhile. Ultimately, I had to disqualify it from consideration but you should know that price was not a factor.

Anyway, this is more of a kick the tires of any cars in the parking lot and see what turns up.....as I said, I'm closing in on one but just want to take a last look around to see if there's any better candidates.

Here are my cue specs: Paul Mottey w/ ivory joint (full, flat face preferred), 2 shafts, weight under 19 ozs, linen wrap, veneers or ebony points w/ ivory inlays....if you've got one you want to sell, please contact me within the next 48 hrs.

Thank you For The PMs

I appreciate the PMs received so far about some other Mottey cues and all PMs have had replies.

I Am Only Interested In Ivory Joint Mottey Cues

Thank you for the messages and just a couple of clarifiying points since time is becoming of the essence...... I am "only" interested in ivory jointed Mottey cues and the overall cue weight must play under 19 ozs.

Thanks For Conatcting Me.

Mel,

I answered your PM and thanks again for the PM message.

Just a question. This thing you are doing, thanking a guy for PMing you (which you could have done in your PM answer) and telling him you answered him even though he would certainly know that (having received your answer). Isn't that just a way around the one bump per day limit you were so in support of for others?

Thanks

Kevin

I Think You Have A Good Point

You really make an excellent point. My overall intention has been to let other forum readers know that my posting has been getting some replies and hopefully encourage any other Mottey cue owners out there to perhaps think more about possibly selling their cue. The posting about the ivory joint was because I was starting to get Mottey cues offered that didn't have a steel joint and I don't wish to waste anyone's time. My last posting was to let the person know I answerd them quickly and I purposely didn't mention anything about the cue they offered not being a Mottey because I'm really trying to keep all my postings on a more positive note.

Nonetheless, you make a very good point and I know how controversial the topic of bumps has become....I'll be more mindful of what I post as a reply. It easy to see how a posting reply could easily substiute for a bump since I see that being done all the time. But how about this one...I'm sure you've seen where someone else bumps a posting instead of the originator of the listing....It sorta goes like this "Bump for a gorgeous XXX cue"....and so some forum member's pal bumps the cue on behalf off the original lister or else they come up with some superfluous comment praising the cue listed for sale, i.e., "Wish this cue was mine.'' so they are less obvious when their intention was always to just bump the cue for a forum buddy.

I think that the Forum Moderators really have their work cut out for them trying to regulate and clean up the Forum but your earlier point is defintely well taken. I mean it could be reasoned that even this reply is my way of getting around using a bump but it truly isn't. Thanks for your input and also, your tactful presentation of the information.

I'm not telling you how to bump. I could pretty much care less, and you certainly don't have satisfy me with your style. I just found it interesting considering you have taken time out of your life to post to others about what you saw (wrongly) as excessive bumping and here you were doing a "PM responded to" bump. As it is, it appears that you hold others to a higher standard than you hold yourself and man, I just don't think you want to be that guy.

Thanks

Kevin

Thanks To All Who Cob=natcted or Tried To Help.

I just want to express my appreciation to everyone that contacted me about their cues for sale. I mentioned in my original post that I am very close to buying a cue and only had 48 hrs to conduct a last minute double check to see if someone had a Mottey ivory jointed cue they might be inclined to sell but hadn't yet listed it. Thanks again to everyone that tried to help me.
