I would be interested in purchasing a used Prewitt Taper Machine. I will pay a fair price if the machine is in good original working condition. Several were made and sold over the years and I figured it would be worth a try to see if perhaps a reader of this forum has one they'd like to sell. Joey/ Kerry...don't laugh too hard!:D  :D

Just curious if this is the one that was offered at Minneapolis trade show a few years back.

I have two but I can't sell them.
They're in my dreams.
How about this one instead? :)

1997 in Vegas maybe.
Very good machine even though it wakes up the whole county when you use it.
Kerry Zeiler has two which has the customized taper plates for his cues.

Thanks, I think I'm thinking of the one Best Billiards offered at the show. They never said who actually made it. I think it was able to do two shafts at a time. Reasonable price at the time to.

The Prewitt machine is one piece at a time, shafts and butts. All mechanical. EP has talked about making a new model with interchangeable taper bars. Drawings have been made. I'd prefer the original model if one is available.

As long as it's gravity dependent, not spring, I'll like it.
EP machine gives the 6-out to any manual taper (router ) machine imo.

LOL Ya got me good there, I was wondering why so long to handle only 36" or so of travel, makes since If it's used for making colums. Heck a cue built on that would probably still dwarf even bigfoot. The Bad part Is I think you may have shown Me that link with It before, when we were talking one time, and I didn't reconize it at first And fell right into It;) . Looking at the link I seem to be remembering seeing It afterall. Seems like you showed me a smaller router copier or something too. was that the same place?
15 big ones and that Big boy can be all yours.:D

I really need a router that doesn't pierce My ear drums, seems like every other time I do a session of turns I end Up with a freakin ear infection, I end up walking around all out of it with My head up my a$$, and My brain goes south. I guess lately it's really getting over on me good. I'm even forgetting the stuff that should be etched in My mind by now:p

Bump.... to see if 1 of the original 12 Prewitt Tapering System machines is gathering dust somewhere!
