Up for trade is my beloved Mottey cue. The cue was designed by Mark Kulungian in 1995 for a customer wanting a cue with a Szamboti look and sent to Paul Mottey to produce. The cue came out stunning with a hit and balance as close to a Gus as humanly possible. In fact I added a Gus Szamboti shaft to further enhance the look and feel. The specs are,
Shaft 1- 291/2 ", 4 ounces, ivory ferrule and 12:60mm
Shaft 2- 291/2 ", 4 ounces, ivory ferrule and 12:30mm
Shaft 3- 201/2 ", 3.8 ounces, ivory ferrule and 12:15mm, original Gus Szamboti, all straight together or apart.
Butt- weighs 15.4 ounces, 4 ebony points with ivory peacocks in every point and the most outstanding veneers. Butt sleeve has Szamboti style barbells and scrimshawed ivory peacocks. The wrap is soft black leather. The cue itself is in excellent condition with one minor ding near the points, in the finish only. At 86 years old I play mostly in senior centers and don't need a cue like this when everyone is playing with there Walmart special and have no respect for quality. So I have to hang unto it for dear life. If you have a decent Southwest that you would be interested in trading, please contact me. The pictures show one shaft, but there are three.
