X-Breaker Ferrule

Any hidden surprises when cutting off these ferrules for a new install? The one the customer has is moving and making the clapping noise while breaking. Appreciate any help guys.

I don't remember Joey...I was just replacing them...not investigating. I've seen a couple that were loose like Gene's.
