What's an x347? Is it a retired airliner?

Thats the model of the new X Breaker that was designed for Charlie Bryant. Dont you remember that whole name contest?

Along the lines of the new X Breaker in general, mine should be here today. Dark Staind Curly Maple style. Really stunning. Looks for pics and a review later on.

Thanks for the info. I don't really care too much about the pics, but I'm really interested in the review. Can't wait to read it.

Actually its a little different. ;)

Hope you like it! I couldn't wait any longer for a X-breaker so I got an Omen J/B and love it. Plus it was a floor model that was cleaned up and I got it $100 off. When I got the cue I used the Magic Eraser and fully cleaned the shaft up brand new. Good luck!!

What does the X347 stand for? Or is it painfully obvious and I am just slow?
Not to obvious, I guess you have to be in on that naming thread to know it.

Charlie had a snap with the new one that was rated at 34.7mph hence X347=Xbreaker 34.7mph

Bet you wish you had gotten a 2 x 4 Murnak case now? ... lol When, exactly, is your ETA of your new X-Breaker? (yes, I am envious ...).

The X347 does sound like an airplane though (a new Jetfighter). The 347 seems to lose meaning related to 34.7 mph (maybe they should have stuck a period in there). But it makes it easier for putting the model on the cue though.

34.7? Isn't that a world record? That's awesome!!
I thought the record was 36 or 38 and held by Breedlove I think. Not sure. I never seen George break but I heard it is as hard as they come.

Actually, when I got the 1x2 from jaypager, I had not anticipated getting a break cue at all. I was using my Allers hustler to break with. I do have a practically brand new StrokeSports 2x3 case, so the X347 will have a home, not to mention the empty Instroke Premier 1x2 I have managed to hang on to.;)

But, when I can afford it, I will be ordering a larger Murnak for my babies.:D :D

As promised, here is a pic of my new X347. Sorry that the pic is so small, but I had to get it to fit AZ's guidelines.

The cue is quite lovely in person. Fit an finish is very good. I cannot give you a review of how it jumps, because I can't jump a ball to save my life!!

As to breaking with it....it rocks!! I am pretty consistently making a ball on the break, which is all I could have ever hoped for! AND...I am consistently leaving the cueball dead center of the table...which is a bonus!!:D I am finding that I am having more control during my breaks. Bear in mind, this has been with an 8 Ball rack. I have not yet tried it with a 9 Ball rack...but I am guessing my 9 Ball league season is going to be much, much different this year.;) :D

Mine is a 1/1. It is a wonderful curly maple. The handle section is natural, unstained, and the forearm and butt have a purpleheart stain applied, as Richard described it to me. He will be changing up the available stain options occasionally with the X347 to keep it fresh, and so that the liklihood of you running into someone with one similar will be fairly small. Also, because this is Charlie 'Hillbilly' Bryant's line, it will be limited in production numbers, and available only through Charlie himself.

I am very happy with this cue!! If you are looking for a really high performing break/jump cue, an X-Breaker...and X-Breaker X347...is the only way to go!!
Thanks again to Charlie AND Richard for such a wonderful new tool to add to my cue case...it will be used well!!!!

Here's the pic of my XBreaker. Curly maple with purpleheart handle. Richard was debuting them at the BCA tourney in May. I believe it's a 1 of a kind as well. Shortly after that is when Richard held his contest.

wish i had an x347 :( did the other guy claim his from the contest? richard had said the cue would be mine if the other guy didnt claim it on by the deadline but shortly after he had an unfortunate fire in his shop than he never replied to my pm.

i dont think he pm'd anyone it was posted in the contest thread and he gave you and the other guy a week to get intouch with him.

I thought the record was in the 26-27mph range by Bustamante.

Now Breedlove had one at 36-38mph? What's next? 45mph? Jeesh.

BTW, at the IPT North American Open...I got a super-duper close up view of Bustamante's cues. His playing cue was a 314 shaft with a black ring (predator second), and his breaking cue had the same exact shaft. Didn't look at the tip though to see if it was different.

So, with a factory-seconds 314 plain old shafts- he was breaking like a cannon.

Guys, yes, I know that a better break cue, regardless of your breakspeed, will add 0.5mph or so to your break - but in the grand scheme of things, it's the Indian, not the arrow ;)

You can get more MPH on your break by spending that money not on the next wonder-breakcue, but on a lesson from a pro who has a very powerful break.
