I got a Amazon gift card for Christmas. I haven't looked at the value of it yet but think it will be either $50 or $100. I am a strong C or maybe B player and thought I would like to buy some instructional DVDs with it and see if it might help with my game. I really like 14.1 and would be interested in a real good DVD on that subject but am not restrictiong myself to that. I have gotten some of CJs DVDs and really like them but thought I might get someone elses slant on the game.

I know there are a lot of opinions on anything and everything here (LOL) and thought I would open myself up to your sometimes helpful sometimes brutal comments.

Practice and Cueball Control----

look at getting the new cueball and practice game,

bullseyebilliards

Aim your Game!!!

bullseyebilliards.net

is the website

It is like $60.00 plus shipping

Get this and dedicate 1/2 hour of real practice time before going off to play GAMES.

If you do this 3 times a week after 2 months you will be amazed at the advancement of your shot making and cueball control.

Hope this helps,

Mike,

looking at Max Eberle's videos, he's a straight pool player

I would suggest looking at Max Eberle's videos, he's a straight pool player and has a large variety of subjects. Scott Frost's one pocket videos are useful if you decided to pursue that game as well.

Good luck and let me know if you need anything, and tell Max "hi" for me.

I did 4 DVDs with Nick Varner and Buddy Hall (The Legends DVD Series)covering 8 ball, 9 ball, one pocket and 14.1. Nick ran 107 in 14.1 while filming and talking you through the racks.
There are reviews on here http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=253724
They are available from my site, Nicks site, and Bebob publishing, I am not sure about amazon.
