:smile:After shopping, budgeting, searching, e-mailing and 4 years of anticipation I finally pulled the trigger on a 9ft Diamond. Rosewood, light, 860 cloth and the best guy in the country ... RealKingCobra doing the installation. I think I might explode. I've read so much on this site that gave me so much knowledge that I finally did what I think is going to be a great pool room for my retirement. Whats so great about pool is that as long as you can keep your eyes and mobility you can play. Can't wait to get back into stroke after ten years away. Just hope I don't have a stroke before I get there. Thanks to all on AZ for the wealth of information and advice on this site.

I was once like you!

Congrats on the trigger pulling.
Make sure the pockets are procut and buy plenty of Dr. Pepper.

congrats glenn did my GC and it is the best playing table i ever played on hope you enjoy your table as much as i enjoy mine

Congrats! I'm just one state over if you need a playing partner!

Hope to do the same some day .... if I ever build the room for it ..... :D

Congrats on the trigger pulling.

The pockets at Society Billiards are actually a little bigger than pro-cut. They're 4.75" instead of 4.5. In my opinion, the difference is not noticeable. In fact, I'd even say that it's not comparable since the room's cloth is typically worn in a little (reclothing happens every few months) and worn cloth will tighten up the pockets. When I go to Turning Stone or Vegas, all of the pockets are pro-cut but since the cloth is new, the pockets actually play bigger than what I'm used to.

I think if I were in the market for a table, I'd give the pocket cut a lot of thought. I'd be very tempted to go to 5" simply because I feel 14.1 is a better game on softer equipment. That's just my opinion, though. Oh and, I've already consumed a lifetime's worth of Dr. Pepper. I'm waiting for NYC to restock.

iam happy 4 u.good luck geting back in stroke.....are u going to gradys for the tournament ?

Can't make it to Grady's this weeend. Too much to do in moving furniture, hanging TV and visualizing what the new pool room will look like when its done. Sure would like a chance on that Grady autographed cue though.

Way to go Mike. You made a wise choice! I've had my Diamond for three years and it's probably the best table I've owned.

Congrats to you Mike. I hope one day to get a Diamond and have that head exploding feeling too!
