"Son of pool" yesterday beat Orcullo 60:42, proving himself to be the most feared "Money King."
After the conclusion of the match, announcement was made regarding another match up in September, between two double World Champions, Wu, and Alcano.
After a three day marathon match, Yang posted a convincing victory with a 18 games margin. This is the second time Yang has claimed victory in the Phillipines.
"Winning against Orcullo is tentament to winning against all top pinoy players [in 9 ball]. I hope they will now realize that Taiwanese are not that easy anymore."
This whole match lasted almost 20 hours in total, including pre-match preparations. Yang had to play over 5 hours per day on average.
"This is really tough. I was not feeling too bad after the first day, but my back started to hurt after the second day, and even my knee hurt after the final day."
Knowing this was going to be a match of endurance, Yang forced himself to have 10 hours of sleep every night.
Even though Orcullo was playing with a slow rhythm, and the match was very long, Yang managed to keep his focus and composure.
"This $10,000 has proven to be very difficult to earn. If I have another chance, I would like to challenge Efren Reyes. It would be great if the organizer would increase the prize in the future."
Yang hired a few body guards, they bet on Yang and won about $6,000 US.
"I know they had a tough job following me around, I am glad they could make some extra money because of my victory."
Wu is very excited about Yang's victory. He is even more excited after hearing his invitation to play against Ronnie Alcano.
"We are both double World Champions. Last year, I lost to him in the quarter finals. I would like to play him some long races, to prove my true ability."

"Son of Pool" Yang and "Underground Money King" Orcullo has just ended their second day match up in which Yang displayed his outstanding table clearance ability, winning on an average of 4 to 5 games per inning, to end the day with a hugh lead of 40 to 28.
Most would predict that as long as Yang keeps his usual performace on the last day, he should not have any problem pocketing $10,000 USD.
"I am so tired," Yang said after his match, "although today's match went a bit faster, it still lasted over 5 hours! I am glad they moved the match from 4 pm to 3pm; otherwise, who knows how late this will end..."
Yang was glad that he performed better today than he did yesterday, as he managed to gain control of the match. After the 25th game, Orcullo spent most of his time in his chair watching Yang winning games after games, pulling his lead to 32:25 with brilliant run outs and safeties.
"Everytime he [Orcullo] came to the table, he had to negotiate my safety."
"I felt really good. If there was a chance after the break, I would go for the run out; if I had no chance, I would opt for a lock up safety. I tried not to give him [Orcullo] any chance."
After winning game 39, when he needed only one more game to close out the match, Yang scratched on his break.
Orcullo took advantage of this oppotunity and won two games in a row.
At 39:28, Orcullo broke, but was forced to push out. Yang proceeded to sink the 1 and finished the session with a 3-9 combo.
Yang said, "in Taiwan, no matter how large the amount, we would never play more than a race to 15. I have never come across such a long race before."
"Did you have any other bet with Orcullo on the side?"
"No!" Yang replied without any hesitation. "I like to keep things simple."

This first session was estimated to last only about 2.5 hours, but actually took over 330 minutes, which is 5.5 hours, ending with a score of 20-19 for Orcullo.
Yang was very hungry during his after match interview, " I have never played a match this long. I could barely see anything at the end!"
Over 300 spectators were present even though it was not a public holiday nor a weekend.
Both Orcullo and Yang commented on the rack being too loose in the first half of the match. They both agreed that this was the reason why the first part of the game went quite unsmoothly.
"Orcullo is in very good shape in my opinion. He was also really taking his time. I am not suprised that I am behind after the first day, and I am glad that I am staying very close to him. The second day is the key. I will practise some more after I eat. My goal is to expand the margin in the score tomorrow, so I can have an easier match going into the third day." Yang said.
About $20,000 US side bet was estimated to have been placed before the match was commenced. Both Yang and Orcullo had about the same number of bets.
"I enjoy this format, everyone is very serious." Yang commented, "but it is really exhausting. Other than practising in the past, I have never played one single tournament match for such a long time before."
