Yellow Tint on Cue

I purchased a cue recently, which arrived in barely used condition as described. However, there are places on the forearm and around the collar on the shafts where there's a yellow/green tint, or stain. I'm not sure if it's just on the finish or on the wood. It's like a chemical possibly spilled on it.

I've attached a picture, but it's tough to see. It's along the center of the cue in the picture, but up by the stitched rings it's a bit more noticeable. Has anyone experienced anything like it? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for chiming in. It's right above the stitches in this picture, but it still doesn't show up well on camera. When I'm looking at the cue, you can see it, especially in the light, but the photos don't reveal too much.

It’s noticeable in the photo you added. Dunno what might cause that to happen.

Maybe something leeching into the wood from the glue? It might even be a characteristic of that piece of maple.

On the bottom of the shaft which might be finish / polyurethane, it could be the natural yellowing of oil based polyurethane?
